Semaglutide (Brand name Ozempic) is one of the most newest and innovative medications prescribed for weight loss. This medication is categorized as a GLP-1 Agonist (Glucagon-Like-Peptide 1). GLP-1 is the main hormone involved that controls how fast your stomach digests food. The slower your body is to digest food in order to empty the stomach, the longer one will feel full after digesting a meal. This is one of the main reasons why Ozempic works extremely well as an appetite suppressor. GLP-1 has been studied and proven to have direct role when it comes to controlling appetite.
Although the bulk of the weight loss that one would reap from the use of Ozempic comes through appetite suppression, Ozempic also helps the pancreas release more insulin when blood sugar levels are high. This mechanism assists in regulating blood sugar levels. Another benefit of Ozempic is the prevention of excess sugar production from the liver. To summarize, Ozempic has 3 benefits:
1. Assists the pancreas in releasing more insulin when blood sugar is high.
2. Prevents the secretion of too much sugar by the liver.
3. Slows down the rate at which food leaves the stomach.
How to use Ozempic?
Ozempic comes with the extreme benefit of only having to be administered once per week. Ideally, it should be taken on the same day and approximate time every week. It is a subcutaneous injection that can be delivered to the stomach fat or thigh. Most Individuals respond very well to a maintenance dose of 1mg per week. Though it is important to start with a dose of 0.25mg per week and gradually work your way up to the 1mg dose. Nausea and diarrhea are very common symptoms with the use of Ozempic, especially at the start or if the starting dose is too high. Since Ozempic works for up to a week, it is extremely important to always start with the lowest dose possible in order to avoid unwanted side effects.

I do recommend this product for the appetite suppression. I’m two weeks into trialing. I am down 8lbs down. Still another two weeks for the remainder of the pen. Only reason I give it a 4 star is cause of the slight loose stool “Side effect “ I am not too concerned as I will not be running it for more than a couple months. My appetite is pretty much out of control at times, since I began taking ozempic I really have to force feed myself to eat once per day . It works!
